Unmasking The Troublemaker

Unmasking The Troublemaker

“Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you:” Numbers 14:28 NKJV.

The above statement made to Moses by God was initially a wonder to me because God had promised the same people that He will take them into the Promised Land (Exodus 3:17). Since He is God and speaks the truth with all of His omniscience, whatever He says would come to pass regardless of man. However, I have discovered that it takes our agreement on earth for heaven to intervene in human affairs.

Where unbelief is demonstrated, it incapacitates the heavens. This is more so because God gave authority over the earth to human beings and will, therefore, not intrude without permission. The children of Israel expressed unbelief in the ability of God to take them into the land of promise. Against His own desire, God had to make clear He had no choice but to respond to everyone according to their confession of Him.

Many times, we blame almost everything on God. Insurers describe every destructive act of nature as ‘an act of God’. Most religions blame all evil on God or partly on Him as if He and the devil work hand-in-hand in a symbiotic way to achieve a common aim. When people die, it is described as ‘God calling them home.’ God who truly has power to kill and make alive does not use that power anyhow. He is a respecter of His Word and principles. Longevity is His perfect will for the righteous (Psalm 91:16). We cannot attribute every premature death to Him.

Satan is the troublemaker but likes to operate incognito. Ever since he lost his position with God in Heaven and was cast down to the earth, he has sought to rule and reign over the earth. What he couldn’t gain by might due to God’s superior power, he gained by subtlety from man (Genesis 3:1-5). He rules over the world through death manifesting in sickness, poverty, destruction, violence, depression, fear and an endless list of woes. Unfortunately, he deceives many with the idea that God either created the problems or refuses to solve them. He is the troublemaker but lies against God (2 Corinthians 4:4). He lied against God to deceive Eve and lies to the world today that God is the reason for the evils we experience. Unfortunately, human beings easily buy into the devil’s lies.

After buying into Satan’s lies, the assembly of Israel raved about how the gracious, loving, and compassionate God of Abraham brought them out of Egypt to a land He couldn’t take them into. God’s miracles should have taught them otherwise, but Satan got a hold of a few influencers among them and the rest is history. Just ten deceived spies were able to sway millions and cause them to perish in the wilderness. It made sense but it was not the truth. Satan builds logical arguments to convince people God is not for them, with them, nor hearing them.

Two people refused to buy into his lies. ‘We are able! God is able! They are meat for us!’ They made positive confessions and said nothing negative about God. Forty years later, only the two men out of twelve were alive. The other ten and hundreds of thousands of others died.

Everyone’s confession determines their outcome. As you speak in God’s ears, so will He do to you. Take Him at His Word today and let earth agree with heaven through you and divine intervention will be guaranteed. Satan is the troublemaker and he is the one throwing darts of fear and doubt into your mind. Let go of your doubts and fears. God is faithful and He will do according to your confession.
